First the date on this post is not bugged. It is a way to make sure this post stays on top until that date (in 3000).
Secondly, this is the link to my disclaimer. (my disclaimer may change over time but right now it is too long for this spot.)

One week off and still not 100%
My last day at work was the Friday before Memorial Day and my next day
back at work is tomorrow.
Nine days away from questions and "can you do this" "can you do that"
and various other things. I only had to use four of my "vacation
days". I had wanted to go south to the beach or somewhere else in
Florida, just to get far away and then the second half I was planning
on going to Atlanta.
The first part fell through due to unforseen circumstances and gas
prices. Wednesday I did some maps and driving directions using Google
maps... They were pretty dead on, unlike Mapquest.
I spent Thursday through Saturday in Atlanta, seeing some of the old
stomping grounds, realizing that just like they have changed so have
I. So have the people I used to know up there. Most are completely
out of contact, others are married or otherwise gone off somewhere...
I had a thought while up there (actually I had several), it was about
one of my closer friends from back then. How he found someone, got
married a few years later, and now is somewhere on this earth with his
wife living their life together.
Then there is me, who is not having that much luck finding someone,
but having so much luck finding out who isn't the one.
(An odd combo to type/post, at least from me.)
I ate at a resturant I haven't eaten at in around twenty years. It's
name is "Scalini's" and it is in Cobb county. They have a long time
reputation. If your nearing the end of your pregnancy, go there, order
the Eggplant Parmigiana, and you will go into labor sooner... Or
something like that. I don't remember it word for word because I am
not pregnant.
Order some of their food and enjoy. I did.
I went to the Georgia Aquarium and World of Coco-Cola. The fish were
cool and if I drink nother Coke anytime soon it will be too soon.
And I slept like a rock last night. Today I did two remote small tasks
at work. Tonight I watched One Night Stand:

Soon I will call it a night and bring the nine day vacation to an end.
Do I feel a little "de-pressureized" and did I enjoy my time in ATL? Yeah I do for the most part, but it could have been better. Do I still want to go
farther out of town next time? Yes. Do I want someone to go with me on
that vacation? Yes, just maybe not someone I am related to.
Now for some sleep.

Mediacom Online is Shit
I can say nothing more other than to include this:
Up until the very end of last year everything was going well. Now my internet connection is spotty and they, when they finally show up, say that it is working as it is supposed to because when they test it... nothing is going wrong.
I wonder if there is a monitor device they could put on the line to gather info?
I used to recommend them, now I am discouraging the use of their service. And that isn't good when you are someone who recommends internet services for individuals and companies.
It's a damn shame what service I am getting from them.
Iron Man
This site is a promotional one for Iron Man and LG Phones. It has some cool stuff on it, but I am posting this mostly to say:
If you go to www.insidethesuit.com and when you get the the place where you need to enter a code... the code is "6550"
I am posting this because I want people to not have to enter their email address and possibly get unwanted emails about phones and other stuff. It's for the people who want to check out the extra footage.
BTW Iron Man is a cool movie which I am thinking of seeing a second time.

Something else I have been working on...
I have been toying with the idea of setting up a "safe for work/safe for general public" blog (something that is safe for co-workers and people who I work with can read and I not get a swift talking to about things I post.)
It would have stuff that fits a "more professional, more politically correct" nature.
It almost makes me sick. But if I rant on it about people I know, even though I would not be mentioning names, would come back at me.
Le sigh... (as a friend would say)
