F'd up week from hell

Users abusing the network admin all week... culminating in a type of cold rage earlier.

Yeah I wasn't having a case o the Monday's, it was more like a dozen Monday's in 5 days.

I don't even want to be at work right now but the mail server is constipated. Our ISP told us (me) to switch a setting to be compatible and get the mail filtering we are supposed to get. Well I made the change at around 1pm and spam slowed to a quick halt. Things rock! ----- well no they don't cause apparently it told our server to send through the ISP and the ISP doesn't have that set up. So hours of mail sat in our system and I had no idea until we went to send out a mass mailing to our subscribers and... only 5 responses (out of office) and usually we get all sorts of crap back like "can't reach so-and-so" or mailbox full or whatever.

I go in and look into the mail queue and holy freaking cows Batman, we haven't been able to send since that change.

Now I am babysitting the server until I am satisfied the constipation has subsided.

Sometimes I hate my life.

And lately our ISP at work has been on my nerves. Connection while I am downloading dropping and having to start over, spam up the wazzu, and politics...
